Originally from Kigali, Rwanda, Joanna’s curiosity about the Earth started early—listening to stories of mineral exploration back home and studying the way rocks weather and change over time. That spark eventually led her to Thunder Bay, where she earned her BSc in Geology from Lakehead University. At Fladgate, she brings enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail to every project. When she’s not in the field, Joanna loves learning about different cultures and has a surprising knack for world flags.
